ANTRE S.A. – HISTORY

1973

The activities of ANTRE S.A. began in 1973 as a sole proprietorship under the name Leonidas Andreadis, son of Ioannis, dealing with the import and wholesale distribution of electrical goods (radios, tape recorders, clocks, hi-fi systems, etc.), based at 84 Kerameikou Street, in the Kerameikos district of Athens.

1975

In 1975, following the first professional trip of the visionary entrepreneur Mr. Leonidas Andreadis to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Korea, and Japan (Tokyo–Osaka), the company began forming collaborations and importing from major international manufacturers.

1977

In 1977, the company transformed into a Limited Liability Company (L.L.C.) under the name ANTRE L.L.C., and in January 1980, it took its current legal form as ANTRE S.A. (S.A.), expanding its imports from some of the largest international brands (CONTEC, NAMCO, CASIO, etc.).

1981

In 1981, as part of its ongoing growth, the company relocated to a five-story building at 23 Evmolpidon Street, in the Votanikos area of Athens, alongside an increase in sales of TVs and video equipment.

1987

As noticeable climate changes began affecting Greece around 1987, ANTRE S.A. expanded into the import of air-conditioning units from leading global manufacturers (TOSHIBA, HITACHI, etc.).

1995

The steady growth in sales and exemplary customer support led in 1995 to the company being awarded the official dealership of TOSHIBA Japan, a status that was upgraded to full official representation from 1996 until 2001, when TOSHIBA’s air-conditioning division was acquired by CARRIER. During these years, major retail chains such as SEHOS, Electronet, Kotsovolos, and others, consistently trusted ANTRE S.A. for imported air-conditioning solutions.

2000

In 2000, the company moved to its privately-owned, 3,500m² headquarters in Agios Stefanos, Attica, where it remains to this day.

2001

From 2001 onwards, ANTRE S.A. continued importing and marketing air-conditioning systems from the rising giants of the sector, TOYO and TCL (China), and further expanded its activities in 2002 to include the import of furniture and stands for TVs, DVDs, Video, Hi-Fi systems, and more.

2003

In 2003, further expanding its activities, ANTRE S.A. began an exclusive cooperation with TCL for the import of electronic energy-saving lamps, a collaboration that lasted until 2010. From 2015 onwards, the company emerged as a pioneer in the LED lighting sector under the brand name ASA ELECTRON, offering products from leading international manufacturers.

2022

After the unexpected passing of its founder in 2022, ANTRE S.A. continues its successful trajectory under the leadership of Mrs. Anna Andreadi-Grammatikou.

With a continuous focus on innovative ideas, the company’s President, following numerous visits to lighting exhibitions around the world, proceeded to establish a new technical department at ANTRE S.A.E.B.E., dedicated exclusively to coordinating the production, import, sale, and installation of all types of lighting poles and masts.
This process is carried out in accordance with European standards concerning materials, galvanizing procedures, painting, and other related requirements. At the same time, as a pioneer in the industry, the company invests time and resources in the production and import of FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Polymer) and carbon-fiber lighting poles, which are considered the technically optimal solution for lighting infrastructure.
